Recently we had the opportunity to visit Hotel Parco dei Principi in Sorrento, Italy. The hotel overlooks the Gulf of Naples, and is an essential pit-stop for architecture and design lovers. If you like a blue and white colour scheme, you’ll love this place!
The hotel was designed in 1961 by Italian architect Gio Ponti. Born in Milan, Ponti was trained as an architect and designed buildings, interiors, furniture, lighting and founded the magazine Domus.
Ponti designed every aspect of this hotel, from the furniture to the lighting. The best part of the hotel would most defiantly be the geometric tiles. Ponti designed 30 different tiles, which have been scattered throughout the hotel.
